Last Monday, the NOC announced the start of operation of the new pipeline from the North Hamada oil field, operated by Nafusah Oil Operations Company.
According to a statement issued by the NOC today (Thursday, July 11) "the field's production flowed to the Mellitah oil port via the 250-km (155-mile) Al-Feel-Mellitah oil pipeline."
The statement noted that "five wells (C-1, B-1, F-1, J-1, D-1) have been put into production, bringing production to 8,000 barrels per day before mid-July," and that the first-phase development program targets of 10,000 barrels per day are expected to be reached by August.

Regular crude oil pumping operation
The statement explained that "the crude oil pumping operation proceeded smoothly and safely, starting from the main tanks to the delivery point at the end of the line at the agreed operating pressures."
The NOC pointed out that "the filling of the new loading line at the North Hamada field was completed on May 18, and an agreement was signed for the transport, handling, and shipment of crude oil through the Al-Feel-Mellitah field line by all parties concerned (Mellitah Oil and Gas Company and Nafusa Oil Operations Company)."
